Schaumburg receives 12th consecutive Distinguished Budget Presentation Award

Schaumburg has earned the Government Finance Officers Association’s Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for a 12th consecutive year.

The award represents the highest form of recognition in governmental budgeting, officials said.

An independent review panel rated Schaumburg’s budget document “proficient” in four categories: policy document, financial plan, operations guide and communications device.

The village also earned special recognition for its performance measures and strategic goals and strategies.
