Lake Zurich board approves 3-year contract with police union
The Lake Zurich village board Monday approved a three-year contract with police officers starting Jan. 1. The current contract expires Dec. 31.
The village and Fraternal Order of Police Patrol Officers 190-1 had been negotiating a successor pact, which was accepted by union members in September.
The contract calls for 3.5% annual salary increases to covered employees for 2027 and 2029 and a 3% increase in 2028. In 2027, salaries will range from about $86,757 to $127,462.
The contract aligns with current market conditions including inflation trends and recent contracts with similarly sized police departments, according to the village.
