St. Isidore students join in Alzheimer’s awareness walk
More than 100 residents and team members from Hearthwood Senior Living in Bartlett and students from St. Isidore Catholic School came together Friday morning for an intergenerational walk to raise funds and awareness for Alzheimer’s disease.

Students walked alongside residents, sharing conversation, encouragement and plenty of purple pom-poms in a show of community support for individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s disease.
The event brought generations together in support of a cause that affects approximately 250,600 Illinois residents aged 65 and older and more than 465,000 family caregivers across the state, according to the Alzheimer’s Association.
