Schaumburg A.M. Rotary celebrates 2026 global grant recipient

Schaumburg A.M. Rotary has announced that Araha Uday, Schaumburg High School alumna and 2026 Stanford graduate, has been awarded a Rotary Foundation Global Grant Scholarship. Sponsored by the club, Uday will pursue a Master of Philosophy in Economics at the University of Cambridge.

Her academic and service achievements while at Stanford include internships at PIMCO and the Federal Reserve Board, cofounding the Stanford Initiative for Domestic Abuse, and becoming a certified domestic violence counselor.

Rotary Foundation Global Grants can fund large-scale international activities that include humanitarian projects, scholarships and vocational training teams. Scholarship awards fund full-time graduate level study abroad, typically for one to four academic years, in an area aligned with Rotary’s Seven Areas of Focus.

Schaumburg A.M. Rotary is a community focused service club dedicated to supporting children and families, youth leadership development and humanitarian initiatives locally and globally.

The club hosts annual fundraisers, collaborates with community partners in its outreach initiatives, and participates in international service projects, all of which reflect Rotary’s mission of “Service Above Self.”
