Lombard celebrating America’s 250th with fireworks show on Sept. 6

Celebrate America's 250th anniversary with the village of Lombard on Sunday, Sept. 6.

Join in this special Labor Day weekend celebration with family, friends, and neighbors as the fireworks display takes off over Madison Meadow Park, 500 E. Wilson Ave. The fireworks begin at approximately 8:15 p.m., or once the sky is completely dark.

Originally scheduled for July 4, the event had to be rescheduled following heavy rainfall that left park grounds too saturated to safely host the event.

Temporary parking restrictions will be in effect in the neighborhoods surrounding Madison Meadow Park to help facilitate traffic flow and reduce congestion before and after the event.
