Venetian Night in Fox Lake features huge drone light show to mark the end of summer

Venetian Night, an end of summer community event, will be held from 3 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, at Lakefront Park, 10 Riverview Ave., Fox Lake. The one-of-a-kind event will include a boat show, wine and beer tasting ($45), kids area, vendors, food trucks, beer tent and live music. The day will culminate with one of the largest drone light shows in Illinois, according to organizers, that will be visible to people from both the Lakefront Park and the boats anchored in Nippersink Lake. There is no charge for admission. The event is hosted by the village of Fox Lake and Chain O’ Lakes Chamber of Commerce. Visit promotefoxlake.org/venetian-night.
