Harper College Police Department to participate in National Night Out in Carpentersville

The Harper College Police Department is excited to announce its participation in the Annual National Night Out, 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, in collaboration with police departments in Carpentersville, Sleepy Hollow, West Dundee and East Dundee.

This free, family-friendly event will be held at Carpenter Park, 300 Carpenter Blvd., Carpentersville.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that brings together law enforcement and neighbors across more than 16,000 communities nationwide. More than 38 million people participate each year to strengthen police-community partnerships and foster neighborhood spirit with the goal of creating safer, more caring places to live.

Event highlights include:

• Inflatables

• Drone demonstrations

• Drunk driving simulator

• Giveaways

“The Harper College Police Department is pleased to continue building connections across our district by partnering with a different community to host National Night Out each year,” Harper Police Chief John Lawson said. “Working alongside our municipal partners throughout Harper College District 512 helps strengthen relationships and supports safer, more connected communities.”
