Wheaton’s Gary UMC begins new sermon series on Christian calling
On Sunday, Aug. 2, Gary United Methodist Church in Wheaton will begin a new five-week sermon series, “Culture of Call.”
This week, the Rev. Jonathan Crail will reflect on how Christians are “Called to Belong.” On the following Sundays, pastors will reflect on “Called to Participate,” “Called to Be,” “Called to be Ordinary” and “Answering the Call.”
Gary United Methodist Church, 224 N. Main St. in Wheaton, has celebrated deep roots in the community since 1853. The church has music, kids, youth and adult ministries, plus opportunities for local, national and global missions.
The curch offers summer Sunday worship at 9 a.m., including Kids’ Church and a 10 a.m. Special Blend fellowship hour.
Starting Sunday, Sept. 13, the church will resume its blended service at 11:11 a.m., along with Sunday school for all ages at 10 a.m. For more information, go to garychurch.org or contact the church office at office@garychurch.org.
