Bloomingdale man airlifted after crash on Route 25 in Geneva overnight
A 30-year-old Bloomingdale man was airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries after his car went off the road and crashed in Geneva early Wednesday morning.
According to a news release from the Kane County state’s attorney’s office, the man was driving northbound in the 800 block of North Bennett Street (Route 25) at about 1 a.m. when his vehicle exited the roadway, striking a brick mailbox, a parked vehicle and a utility pole.
He was flown to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood.
North Bennett Street was closed from Woodward Avenue in Geneva to Moore Avenue in St. Charles until 7:45 a.m. Wednesday, while law enforcement and emergency management personnel were on the scene.
The Fox Valley Major Crimes Task Force is overseeing the ongoing investigation into the crash.
