An often-busy intersection in the city will get a face-lift, too.

Crews will work on:

· Graceland Avenue between Jefferson and Lee streets.

· Jefferson between Lee Street and Graceland Avenue.

· Lee Street between Elk Boulevard and Mannheim Road.

· Mannheim Road between Lee Street and Higgins Road.

· The intersection of Mannheim Road and Touhy Avenue.

Lanes will be resurfaced and restriped and crosswalks will be restriped, authorities said in a news release. Additionally, sidewalks and curbs will be altered to improve access for people with disabilities and pedestrian crossing signals will be improved.

The projects are expected to be completed in November.

Drivers should expect delays, allow extra travel time, observe reduced speed limits in the construction zones and watch for construction crews and equipment, according to the release.
