Man accused of holding woman hostage in Schaumburg arrested after fleeing scene

A man who reportedly held a woman against her will in Schaumburg Thursday morning was arrested after fleeing the home where it occurred.

Police officers were called at about 10:50 a.m. to a home on Wildflower Court, authorities said. Shortly after police arrived, the suspect exited through a window and ran from the area.

The suspect was caught a short distance away, police said. While there’s no threat to the public, people are advised to stay out of the area while the matter continues to be investigated.

No charges have been announced.
