Lake in the Hills man arrested on child pornography charges

A Lake in the Hills man was arrested last week after being accused of possessing child sexual abuse material, police announced Wednesday.
Damon R. Lerch, 41, of the 100 block of Northlight Passe, has been charged with nine felony counts of possessing child abuse material on a computer, according to a news release from the Lake in the Hills Police Department.
Police took Lerch into custody without incident at 3:26 p.m. on June 15 after receiving several Internet Crimes Against Children tip notifications about the material. Authorities said police investigated the tips and confirmed the information to be valid.
Lerch was later transferred to the McHenry County Jail.
