20-year-old motorcyclist killed in Mount Prospect crash
A 20-year-old Des Plaines man was killed after his motorcycle collided with an SUV Saturday night in Mount Prospect, police said Monday.
Scotty J. Stuck was pronounced dead at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge at 10:31 p.m., about 30 minutes after the crash along Rand Road near Henry Street, authorities said.
According to Mount Prospect police, an officer arriving on the scene at about 10:01 p.m. located the motorcyclist southeast of the intersection with serious injuries. He was taken by the Mount Prospect Fire Department to the hospital.
A preliminary investigation showed Stuck was driving southeast on Rand Road approaching Henry Street when the motorcycle collided with a Subaru SUV.
The driver of the Subaru, a 33-year-old Mount Prospect man, was not injured.
The Mount Prospect Police Department’s Major Crash Investigation Team, along with the Major Case Assistance Team’s Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team, continues to investigate.
Rand Road was closed between the private driveway for the Texas Roadhouse restaurant and Central Road until approximately 6:22 a.m. Sunday.
