MCC, Master Gardeners to hold annual garden walk in McHenry County

Experience a day of gorgeous gardens, education, and fun at Garden Walk 2026, presented by the University of Illinois Extension Master Gardeners and McHenry County College. Garden Walk will take place 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 11, starting at the outdoor Demonstration Garden at MCC, 8900 Route 14, Crystal Lake.

Attendees will enjoy a self-guided tour of nine gardens (two public gardens and seven residential) in Crystal Lake, Woodstock, McHenry, and Bull Valley. Master Gardeners will be on-site at each garden to answer questions as participants walk through colorful gardens studded with artwork, edible plots, and more.

Advance tickets ($15) may be purchased through June 26 at mchenry.edu/gardenwalk. All tickets must be picked up the day of the walk. Tickets may be purchased day of for $20 at the Master Gardener Demonstration Garden at MCC, parking lot C. No ticket sales will be available from Friday, June 27 through Friday, July 10.

The event will be held rain or shine. No pets are allowed.
