Authorities identify Streamwood woman believed fatally struck by vehicle

A woman found dead in the road near her Streamwood home early Tuesday has been identified as 68-year-old Agnes Tak.

Police said a preliminary investigation indicated Tak had been accidentally struck by a vehicle on Oak Knoll Court near Williamsburg Drive.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office conducted an autopsy Wednesday, but reported that an official determination of Tak’s cause of death remains pending.
