Warrenville townhouse largely unscathed after garage fire

A Warrenville townhouse was largely unscathed by a fire in an attached garage early Tuesday morning.

No injuries were reported in the blaze that was called in by residents of the townhouse unit on the 3S500 Block of Lambe Lane just before 7:20 a.m.

The garage sustained about $100,000 in damage, but the living quarters remained habitable, fire officials said.

It is believed the fire was started by cooking materials.
