Mount Prospect firefighters, village nurse teaching pediatric first aid at library

The Mount Prospect Fire Department and the village nurse are partnering to host a free pediatric CPR, choking, and first aid training session from 6 to 9 p.m. May 13 at the Mount Prospect Public Library, 10 S. Emerson St.

In a pediatric emergency, every second counts, and the immediate actions of a bystander can make a life-saving difference. By removing the financial barrier to this training, the village aims to create a network of prepared residents ready to act when it matters most.

Participants who complete the session will receive an official Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED card through the American Heart Association. Registration is required to attend and can be done by calling (847) 870-5660.
