State representatives leading tours of Des Plaines museum

State Reps. Justin Cochran and Michelle Mussman are hosting a joint meet-and-greet tour of neighborhood history museum Kinder House, 781 Pearson St. in Des Plaines, on April 28.

Two tours are scheduled, departing at 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., respectively.

The museum is located in a 1907 Queen Anne Revival house, and features room displays portraying early 20th-century life. The home was built for Benjamin F. and Elizabeth Kinder, whose family owned and operated Kinder Hardware in Des Plaines from 1873 to 2003.
