Rohrman boosts its Schaumburg presence with new Kia dealership

Schaumburg is welcoming a new dealership with a new look to its auto row on Golf Road.

The 45,000-square-foot Rohrman Schaumburg Kia dealership at 750 E. Golf Road opens Wednesday, and the Rohrman Automotive Group is pulling out the stops with a grand opening celebration from 5 to 8 p.m. to be attended by Chicago sports celebrities.

Rohrman is billing it as the largest Kia dealership in Illinois and the second largest in the United States.

“With the increasing popularity for the Kia brand in the U.S., we are thrilled to open the doors to our brand new Schaumburg Kia dealership,” said Ryan Rohrman, CEO of the Rohrman Automotive Group.

The new store features expansive waiting areas, more than 600 vehicles for sale on the property and 34 service bays.

“This state-of-the-art facility is our latest example of how we are reimagining the dealership experience for employees and customers alike while maintaining the Rohrman legacy Schaumburg has known for more than 40 years,” Rohrman said. “We look forward to welcoming the community into this space and showing them what a modern car buying and selling experience looks like at Rohrman.”

The grand opening will feature appearances by Colston Loveland and Tyson Bagent of the Chicago Bears and Chicago Blackhawks prospect Stanislav “Stan” Berezhnoy.

In addition, there will be dancing LED robots, a virtual racing simulator, a DJ, a light show, a photo booth and food and beverages.

The Kia dealership’s opening comes a year and a half after the group opened the doors to Schaumburg Honda, the largest Honda dealership in the world, located just a half mile away.

Rohrman Automotive Group operates dealerships in the Chicago area; Lafayette, Fort Wayne and Indianapolis, Indiana; and Kenosha, Wisconsin, with brands including Toyota, Lexus, Honda, Acura, Nissan, Infiniti, Hyundai, Genesis, Ford, Kia and Volkswagen.

Representatives of the village, which has 26 car dealerships, will be on hand.

Schaumburg Community Development Director Julie Summers Fitzgerald said the dealerships are important economic assets to the village, adding the Kia dealership is also visually appealing. The look includes a showroom with floor-to-ceiling glass walls, tiles and glass-walled offices.

“It’s encouraging to see additional and continued investment at the dealerships and by Rohrman in the community. It just shows the strength of the village and the strength of the development opportunities along Golf Road,” she said.
