Mundelein Park & Recreation District to impose 3% transaction fee

Beginning April 15, Mundelein Park & Recreation District will apply a 3% transaction fee to all credit/debit card payments districtwide except at Steeple Chase Golf Club.

The district says it has covered credit card processing fees estimated at $130,000 per year. The change will reduce expenses and support programs, services and facilities, according to the district.

The fee can be avoided by paying with cash or setting up the eCheck/ACH payment option in person at the Mundelein Community Center, 1401 N. Midlothian Road.
