Bloomingdale Chamber Senior Fair expands services with vaccines

The Bloomingdale Chamber of Commerce has added vaccines to their Senior Fair on Friday, April 10.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois will be on site providing the following adult vaccines: pneumonia, shingles, tetanus/diphtheria/pertussis or tetanus/diphtheria, hepatitis B, meningococcal, influenza, COVID-19, respiratory syncytial virus, and measles/mumps/rubella.

The Senior Fair will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Medinah Banquets, 550 Shriner Road in Addison. Admission is free.

The Bloomingdale Lions Club will provide free vision and hearing screenings. In addition, Illinois Secretary of State Mobile DMV offering on-site services, including license renewals (no tests taking), state ID, Real ID or vehicle registration.

A Versiti community blood drive is also taking place. You can register for your DMV appointment or blood donation time via BloomingdaleChamber.com. You do not have to be a senior to participate in the Mobile DMV or Versiti blood drive. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend and support their community blood drive.

The Senior Fair is free to attend and serves as a convenient, one-stop destination for valuable information, screenings, and services.

With over 50 vendors sharing information attendees will have the opportunity to connect with representatives from government agencies, healthcare providers, financial institutions, and community organizations.

Seniors attending will have the opportunity to win $200 cash by completing a free scavenger hunt game.
