Bloomingdale Chamber hosts annual Senior Fair with free screenings and mobile DMV
The Bloomingdale Chamber of Commerce invites seniors, their families, and caregivers to the annual Senior Fair on Friday, April 10. It will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Medinah Banquets, 550 N. Shriners Road in Addison.
This free community event is designed to be a “one-stop shop” for vital information and services. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with over 50 local businesses and organizations specializing in health care, financial planning, housing options, and government resources.
On-site services & highlights
To provide maximum value to the community, several organizations will offer on-site assistance:
• Mobile DMV (Secretary of State): Services include state IDs and license renewals (no testing). Appointments are required by April 2 via bit.ly/3MBNbNM.
• Free health screenings: The Bloomingdale Lions Club will provide vision and hearing screenings. Participants are encouraged to arrive early to secure a spot.
• Versiti blood drive: Open to all attendees (seniors and non-seniors) who wish to donate and support local blood supplies. Sign up via donateblood.versiti.org.
• Senior bingo: Bingo featuring cash prizes for the winners.
“The chamber is about connections and helping and supporting the community we serve,” said Cindy Allston, president/CEO of the Bloomingdale Chamber of Commerce. “Connecting seniors and their families to these valuable resources is the most rewarding part of our work.”
This event is made possible through the generous support of our sponsors: Embolden Wealth Management, NOW Foods, Oasis Senior Advisors, Essence Healthcare, United Healthcare, and state Rep. Sanalitro (48th District).
