Schaumburg seeks nominations for Volunteer of the Year awards luncheon on April 22

Schaumburg is accepting nominations for Volunteer of the Year to be recognized at its upcoming luncheon — a public event that will feature experiential facilitator Molly Grisham as keynote speaker.

Nominations in adult, youth and organization categories will be accepted through Friday, April 3.

Nominees can represent social, civic, religious, community, school and nonprofit organizations within the Schaumburg and Schaumburg Township community.

New this year, the Schaumburg-Hoffman Lions Club will award a $2,500 scholarship to this year’s Youth Volunteer of the Year.

Nomination materials are available on the village website at schaumburg.com/VOY.

Recipients will be selected by a panel of judges from nominations received and honored at the 38th annual Volunteer of the Year luncheon Wednesday, April 22 at Maggiano’s Little Italy, 1901 E. Woodfield Road in Schaumburg.

The luncheon is open to the public. Those interested may register and pay online at schaumburg.com/VOY by 2 p.m. Friday, April 17.
