Honey and beyond, how bees serve a life-sustaining purpose

Beekeeping is the topic at the Green Drinks Libertyville meeting at 6:30 p.m. March 10 at Pizzeria De Ville, 404 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville.

Mark Leider, owner of Leider’s Local Honey, will discuss all things honey and how bees serve a life-sustaining purpose and are essential to growing produce. According to Leider, honey comes in six “colors” depending on what’s flowering.

Honey will be available for sampling and for sale. The presentation features a Q&A and time for comments.

Reservations are not required but encouraged at pizzeriadeville.com. Visitors are asked to arrive at 6 p.m. to order food and drink.
