STARS Family Services welcomes Erik Dewar and Friends for one-night event
STARS Family Services welcomes acclaimed musician Erik Dewar for a special one-night worship and celebration event in Wheaton.
The concert will take place at 7 p.m. Friday, March 6, in the sanctuary of College Church, 335 E. Seminary Ave. in Wheaton. Admission will be free. An offering will be taken to benefit STARS Family Services.
“We are delighted to welcome Erik Dewar back to our community,” said Sharon Coutryer, executive director. “His continued support of our STARS Family Services ministry means so much to us, and we are grateful for the opportunity to experience his musical gifts during this unique evening.”
This exclusive event will bring together friends, supporters, and community members for an inspiring time of music and worship led by Erik Dewar and Friends, whose longstanding partnership with STARS Family Services has enriched the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
Dewar is a devoted husband and father who served the congregation of College Church in Wheaton, Illinois, for 10 years as pastor of worship & music. He currently serves as the interim music director at Lake Orion Baptist Church in Michigan. A gifted hymnwriter, composer, and arranger, Dewar has published numerous original hymns through gloryandgladnessmusic.com.
Driven by a deep passion for congregational worship, he is committed to helping the Church lift its collective voice in joyful praise and in honor of the One worshipped. Dewar frequently partners with organizations to design and lead Scripture filled liturgies and musical expressions tailored to their events. He recently returned from a ministry trip to Hungary, further expanding his global impact through worship leadership.
