Schaumburg seeking contributions for 70th anniversary photo collection

To help celebrate its 70th anniversary, the village of Schaumburg is creating a special “Schaumburg: Then & Now” photo collection to showcase the people, places and moments that tell the community’s story.

Community members can contribute their photos — whether it’s a neighborhood block party, a favorite Septemberfest memory, a local landmark through the years or the street they grew up on — for the chance to have them framed and displayed the village’s 70th anniversary celebration in December at the Al Larson Prairie Center for the Arts.

Selected photographers will be recognized at the end-of-year celebration.
