Learn about the ‘I Am’ sayings of Jesus at Gary UMC in Wheaton
Throughout Lent, you can explore the “I Am” sayings of Jesus at Gary United Methodist Church, 224 N. Main St. in Wheaton.
The pastors will focus on these sayings in their sermons at 9 and 11:11 a.m. worship on Sundays. An adult education class will be offered on Sundays, Feb. 22 through March 29. The study, led by a team of pastors and biblical scholars, will build on Rob Fuquay’s “The God We Can Know.”
These images — bread, light, shepherd, vine and more — offer ways to experience Jesus and answer one of the most essential questions in the Christian faith, “Who do you say I am?” Books will be available for $10, but reading is not required to attend the class.
The Wheaton church has vibrant music, kids, youth and adult ministries, plus opportunities for local, national and global missions.
