Man killed by Metra train near Westmont stop, lengthy delays on BNSF line

Metra police are investigating the death of a man who was struck by an outbound Metra train near the Westmont stop early Tuesday morning.

The collision occurred just after 7 a.m., according to Metra officials.

All traffic on the BNSF line that runs between Aurora and Union Station in the city has been halted as a result and lengthy delays are expected.
