Man killed by Metra train near Westmont stop, lines reopened
Metra police are investigating the death of a man who was struck by an outbound Metra train near the Westmont stop early Tuesday morning.
The collision occurred at about 7:15 a.m., according to Metra officials.
All traffic on the BNSF line that runs between Aurora and Union Station in the city was halted for about an hour as a result. Full service was restored at about 8:15 a.m.
The collision remains under investigation.
