Mays Music Centre of Excellence presents the fourth annual Lift Every Voice Gospel Celebration
The Mays Music Centre of Excellence in Lisle will present the fourth annual Lift Every Voice Gospel Celebration at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 11, at Goodwin Auditorium on the campus of Benedictine University.
This annual celebration brings together students, educators, artists, and community members to honor the rich history, culture, and enduring impact of Gospel music.
The 2026 theme, “Work It Out,” reflects Gospel music’s timeless message of perseverance, faith, and unity. This year’s celebration will honor Empress Dianne Williams for her contributions and influence within the Gospel music community.
A featured highlight of the program is the Divine Sound Gospel Choir, a collaborative partnership choir comprised of Mays Music Centre and Benedictine University students, showcasing student excellence and cross-institutional collaboration.
Additional performances will be presented by the Wheaton College Gospel Choir, DuPage AME Church Mass Choir, and Pastor Derail Smith and the Warriors. The event will be hosted by Minister Tim White, serving as master of ceremony.
Admission is open to the public. Benedictine University students are eligible for free admission by registering online and using the promo code BENU at checkout. A valid student ID must be presented at the door for entry.
Proceeds from the event will support the Scales Campaign Building Fund at Mays Music Centre, furthering access to music education and performance opportunities.
