Gary UMC in Wheaton donates nearly $119K to missions

Members of Gary United Methodist Church in Wheaton have volunteered countless hours over the years.

In 2025, they distributed $118,593 to various missions. The top causes were Christmas Sharing of Wheaton/Warrenville, Immigration Law & Justice Network (local and national), DuPagePads, UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief), World Relief and Educate a Girl/Change the World.

The church at 224 N. Main St. has celebrated deep roots in the community since 1853. The church has vibrant music, kids, youth and adult ministries, plus opportunities for local, national and global missions. Sunday worship is at 9 and 11:11 a.m. In-between services, there’s Sunday school for all ages, a coffee fellowship hour, plus the chapel is available for prayer and reflection.
