Celebrate the Lunar New Year with Lombard Historical Society

On Saturday, Feb. 21, the Lombard Historical Society will present “Celebrating the Lunar New Year” with Yvonne Wolf at 1:30 p.m.

The upcoming Lunar New Year season lasts from Feb. 17 to March 3. It is a holiday observed by about 20% of the world's population, yet many are unfamiliar with how it is celebrated.

Wolf will talk about the rites, activities, symbols, and foods associated with it and how you can participate in your own home. Whether it is your first time celebrating this cross-cultural festival or part of your annual routine, join in celebrating the Year of the Horse.

The program will be held at 1:30 p.m. in the Carriage House at 23 W. Maple St. The program is free, but spots are limited. Reserve your spot today. For more information, visit lombardhistory.org, email info@lombardhistory.org, or phone (630) 629-1885.

The Lombard Historical Society encourages visitors to delve into the past through interactive exhibitions, educational programming, and gaining insights from the historical society collections. It is committed to the preservation, interpretation, and celebration of Lombard's past, inspiring a vibrant and inclusive future.
