Puppy Paws & Storytime Day at Hawthorn mall features adoptions and pet expert Steve Dale

Nationally syndicated pet expert Steve Dale will lead a fun dog-safety presentation as part of Puppy Paws & Storytime Day from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday on the upper level of Hawthorn mall next to Macy’s, Route 60 and Milwaukee Ave., Vernon Hills.

Dale will be on hand from 10:30 to 11 a.m. and read from his children’s book “Ask the Dog.”

The special learning and adoption event is hosted by Orphans of the Storm rescue.

After Dale’s presentation, puppies will be unleashed for meet-and-greets until 3 p.m. Visit orphansofthestorm.org for details.
