Schaumburg house fire leaves home uninhabitable

No injuries were reported from a Schaumburg house fire Monday night that left the home uninhabitable.
Firefighters were called to a one-story, single-family house on the 100 block of Grand Central Lane at about 7:30 p.m. by a neighbor who reported smoke showing from roof.
A small fire was located in the attic near the chimney and was quickly extinguished, fire officials said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
