The Wheatland Athletic Association, which has served the Naperville and Aurora communities for 49 years, recently announced the opening of a new 15,000-square-foot baseball/softball indoor training center and outdoor turf field next to its WAA Sports Center and fields at 2323 Liberty St. in Aurora. Ribbon cuttings were held Nov. 17 with Aurora Mayor John Laesch and Dec. 2 with Naperville Mayor Scott Wehrli.
