Volunteers sought for new Vernon Hills Park District environmental committee

The Vernon Hills Park District is seeking five resident volunteers to join a newly formed environmental sustainability committee.

The advisory panel will support environmentally responsible practices and help strengthen the district’s long-term sustainability in line with the mission to conserve nature, promote wellness and inspire leisure.

The panel will assist with planning, share environmental resources, build partnerships and review cost-effective initiatives to support environmental stewardship.

The committee will meet three times a year. Meetings will be open to the public.
