Gary UMC’s Cookie Walk raises over $6k for mission work
Gary United Methodist Church in Wheaton is distributing proceeds from its second annual Holiday Cookie Walk to multiple missions.
The cookie walk raised $6,387. The missions that will benefit include: Immigration Law and Justice Network, Educate A Girl/Change the World, Christmas Sharing of Wheaton/Warrenville, Christmas Sharing in Costa Rica, DuPage Pads, UMCOR — United Methodist Committee On Relief, South Sudan Voices of Hope, and the People's Resource Center and Outreach.
The church at 224 N. Main St. has vibrant music, kids, youth and adult ministries, plus opportunities for local, national and global missions. Worship is at 9 and 11:11 a.m. Sundays. In-between services, there’s Sunday school for all ages, a coffee fellowship hour, plus the chapel is available for prayer and reflection.
