Village of Schaumburg launches Speaker’s Bureau Program
The village of Schaumburg has announced the launch of the Village of Schaumburg Speaker’s Bureau, a new community engagement program designed to connect residents, businesses, schools, and organizations with the professionals who serve the community every day.
The VOS Speaker’s Bureau offers engaging, informative presentations led by village staff from a wide range of departments, including police, fire, public works, community development, finance, communications and outreach, and more. Presentations provide insight into how local government works, highlight available programs and services and offer practical information tailored to each audience.
“The Speaker’s Bureau provides an educational and interactive way for the community to learn more about village programs and how local government serves Schaumburg,” Village Manager Brian Townsend said. “It’s an opportunity to hear directly from the experts who deliver services, respond to emergencies, plan for the future, and support Schaumburg’s high quality of life.”
Presentation topics range from public safety and emergency preparedness to transportation resources, economic development, environmental sustainability, and the municipal budgeting process. Most presentations range from 20 to 60 minutes and include time for questions and discussion.
Community members interested in scheduling a presentation can browse the full catalog of available topics and submit a request online. Requests will be reviewed by village staff, with responses typically provided within four to five business days.
The Village of Schaumburg looks forward to strengthening community connections, increasing awareness of village services, and fostering informed and engaged residents through the new Speaker’s Bureau program.
