Schaumburg launching Speaker’s Bureau program to keep residents in the know
Schaumburg is launching its own Speaker’s Bureau, a new community engagement program designed to connect village residents, businesses, schools and organizations with the professionals who serve them every day.
The Speaker’s Bureau offers engaging, informative presentations led by village staff from a wide range of departments, including police, fire, public works, community development, finance, communications and outreach, and more.
Presentations provide insight into how local government works, highlight available programs and services, and offer practical information tailored to each audience.
Presentation topics include public safety and emergency preparedness, transportation resources, economic development, environmental sustainability and the municipal budgeting process. Most presentations range from 20 to 60 minutes and include time for questions and discussion.
Community members interested in scheduling a presentation can browse the full catalog of available topics and submit a request online.
