Mount Prospect says water solicitation not from village

Mount Prospect officials issued a community notice this week regarding a piece of mail residents are receiving from “American Water Resources” regarding water line responsibility.

The letter is a solicitation and not associated with the village or Illinois American Water, which provides water service to parts of the community, officials said.

Officials noted that a message at the top right corner of the document states “This is a solicitation and not a bill. Not affiliated with your utility.”
