Schaumburg police: Woman dead, man in custody following early morning disturbance call

Schaumburg police officials say a woman is dead and a man is in custody following an early morning domestic disturbance call on the 100 block of Roselle Road.

Police officials said officers responded to the area just before 5:30 a.m. and found the woman deceased. They said a man was detained and is being questioned in connection with her death.

The woman and man were known to each other, authorities said.

There is a large police presence in the area and police are urging motorists to avoid the area while the investigation continues.
