Frigid temperatures affecting Salvation Army’s Red Kettle fundraising campaign

The Salvation Army is making a plea to the public to make online donations, as severe winter weather conditions have affected their annual Red Kettle fundraising campaign.

Recent frigid temperatures have forced the Salvation Army to pull some of its iconic Red Kettles for the safety of the bell ringers, impacting their efforts. The money raised in Red Kettles funds Salvation Army year-round programs and services, including shelters, food pantries, mobile feeding, after-school programs, emergency utility assistance and more.

You can donate to a virtual Red Kettle at ChicagoRedKettle.org.
