Orphans of the Storm Holiday Puppy Pop-Up at Hawthorn Mall

Orphans of the Storm has announced the return of its Holiday Puppy Pop-Up for a weekend of tail-wagging fun. The special event will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 13-14, at Orphans’ Hawthorn Mall Adoption Showcase.

Shoppers looking for a fun break from holiday gift-buying and families interested in adding a furry friend to their winter celebrations are invited to meet adorable puppies. The pop-up event offers an opportunity to find the perfect companion just in time for the holidays.

“The response to our first weekend was exceptional, and we're thrilled to give more puppies the chance to find their forever families,” said Kristen Castro, a manager at the shelter. “There's nothing quite like the joy of hanging out with a puppy, even if it’s just for a few minutes in between power shopping.”

Prospective adopters should be prepared to complete an adoption application. Adoption counselors will be on-site to answer questions and guide families through the process.

Hawthorn Mall is at 122 Hawthorn Center, Vernon Hills. Orphans of the Storm Adoption Showcase is on the Second Floor, next to Mancy’s.
