Mount Prospect announces 2025 class of Shining Stars

Mount Prospect has announced its 2025 class of Shining Stars, who represent individuals and organizations that have made their mark on the village.

This year’s stars include:

Best Educator: Karolyn Marabotti

Best Neighbor: Bob and Alison Burdick

Community Partner: Mike, Eric, Omar & Sammy — Pure Elite Fitness

Exceptional Youth: John Ciok

Inclusivity: Frank Mirandola

Open Arms: Lemons of Love

Public Service: Jill Friedrichs

Star Spangled Banner: Ron Vlcek

Unsung Hero: Mike Mokate & Maura Reschke — St. Mark's PADS Shelter

Honorees will be celebrated at the 33rd annual Shining Stars Gala on Feb. 7. Early Bird tickets are on sale now through Jan. 3 at mountprospect.org/gala.
