Streamwood approves new three-year contract with village’s firefighters
Streamwood village board members Thursday approved a new three-year contract with International Association of Firefighters Local 3022 to take effect Jan. 1.
The union contract provides salary increases of 3% during each of the three years for the Streamwood Fire Department’s 48 firefighter-paramedics and lieutenants, Village Manager Sharon Caddigan said.
While that contract was approved on schedule, the village continues to negotiate with its police officers’ union on a contract that was to have taken effect at the beginning of 2025, she added.
