Gary UMC in Wheaton to present ‘Lessons & Carols’ on Dec. 14

Gary United Methodist Church in Wheaton will host a worship service like no other on Sunday, Dec. 14 at 9 and 11:11 a.m.

“Lessons & Carols” will tell the story of the birth of Jesus Christ through music, Scripture and reflection. Children and adult choirs will sing, handbell groups will ring, and readers of all ages will share Scripture. Churchgoers will sing hymns, pray and enjoy the music, readings and reflection.

The church at 224 N. Main St. has vibrant music, kids, youth and adult ministries, plus opportunities for local, national and global missions. Gary Church offers worship at 9 and 11:11 a.m. In-between services, there’s Sunday school for all ages, a coffee fellowship hour, plus the chapel is available for prayer and reflection.

On Monday, Dec. 22, the church will have its Longest Night Service at 7 p.m.

On Wednesday, Dec. 24, the church will have a family Christmas Eve service at 4 p.m., a traditional Christmas Eve service at 7 p.m., and a Christmas Eve service with Communion at 9 p.m. For more information, go to garychurch.org or contact the church office at office@garychurch.org.
