Axiom Brass brings holiday cheer to Chamber Music on the Fox
Celebrate the season with Axiom Brass, one of Chicago’s premier brass ensembles, as they return to Chamber Music on the Fox with a festive holiday program designed to bring you the joy of the season.
Known for their dedication to “living music,” Axiom Brass not only performs timeless classics but also highlights the works of contemporary composers, engaging audiences with their dynamic performances. Enjoy a weekend of holiday cheer, music, and the joy of community!
The Chicago-based ensemble features Alex Laskey, double horn; Bethany Vaughn, trumpet; Corey Sansolo, trombone; Serena Vaughn, trumpet; and Dorival Puccini Jr., trumpet.
The first “Holiday Brass” concert will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, at Woodstock Opera House, 121 Van Buren St. in Woodstock. Concessions opens at 6:30 p.m. with doors opening at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25-$30, including fees. Tickets for this concert is available through the Woodstock Opera House website, woodstockoperahouse.com.
On Sunday, Dec. 7, they will be performing in Aurora at Wesley United Methodist Church, 14 N. May St. The concert starts at 2:30 p.m.
On Monday, Dec. 8, Axiom Brass will wrap up the holiday concerts at 7 p.m. at First Congregational Church of Elgin, 256 E. Chicago St.
Tickets for the Aurora and Elgin concerts is $25 or $15 for students. Tickets are available via chambermusiconthefox.org/concert/holiday-brass/.
The quintet has received international acclaim, including the Fischoff Educator Award. The group is dedicated to educating the next generation of musicians through custom workshops, master classes and residencies.
Axiom has collaborated with many other groups, including the New York Philharmonic Brass Quintet, Chicago Symphony Brass Quintet and Fischoff Chamber Music Society. They perform exclusively on instruments made by Bach and Conn.
