Glen Ellyn-Wheaton Chorale to perform anniversary concerts in Elmhurst
The Glen Ellyn-Wheaton Chorale will celebrate its 40th anniversary with a pair of concerts in Elmhurst.
The Wintersong 2025 performances are set to begin at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, and at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22. Both concerts will be held at Elmhurst Christian Reformed Church.
The program will feature the triumphant “Gloria” by John Rutter and an introduction to the group’s interim artistic leadership: Michael Popplewell, interim music director, and Kevin Lange, interim ensemble director.
“As we enter our 40th year, this milestone concert season is both a reflection of our history and a bold step toward our future,” said Popplewell in a statement. “We look forward to celebrating with our community through music that uplifts and inspires.”
A dress rehearsal video showed singers practicing an Andy Williams holiday favorite. A select number of tickets are expected to be available at the door.
