Agility Junkies hosts Community Pet Food Drive
Agility Junkies, a dog training and agility center located in Barrington, has launched a community-driven pet food drive to help families facing financial strain as SNAP benefits continue to diminish for many households.
Led by owner Lora Del Page, the initiative has successfully collected and distributed approximately 900 pounds of pet food to local organizations serving people and animals in need.
The pet food donations have been delivered to several key partners, including: FISH (Friends in Service Here) in McHenry; Anderson Humane Society in South Elgin; Elgin Township; Riverside Animal Clinic and Holistic Center in McHenry; and C.A.R.E.
These organizations will utilize the contributions to support families struggling to afford pet care, helping ensure that pets can remain in their homes and out of shelters during difficult financial periods.
The pet food drive emphasizes Agility Junkies’ commitment to community welfare and animal well-being.
The organization encourages continued donations of unopened pet food and supplies, which can be dropped off directly at the Agility Junkies facility, 22073 Pepper Road in Barrington.
