Winter coat drive for veterans

The GLMV Chamber of Commerce is holding its sixth annual Coat Drive for Vets through Nov. 15.

The drive is collecting old, slightly worn or new winter coats and other seasonal outerwear, which will be provided to local veterans in need and their families through the Midwest Veterans Closet.

“Our coat collection for veterans is an ideal way to show our community support and thank our vets for their amazing service,” said GLMV President Scott Adams.

Collection boxes are located at about GLMV (Green Oaks, Libertyville, Mundelein and Vernon Hills) locations, including village halls, police departments and various business throughout the towns. For a list of locations, visit www.glmvchamber.org/events.
