Gary UMC in Wheaton to offer class on spiritual practices
Gary United Methodist Church in Wheaton is offering the class, “SACRED Care” on Sundays through Nov. 16 at 10:10 a.m. at the church, 224 N. Main St.
The study will explore spiritual practices for the highs and lows of parenting. Based on Aizaiah and Nereyda Yong’s book, “Sacred Parenthood,” this class offers a guide for nurturing children, youth and yourself with deep intention and love. Carey Williams Bebar, the church’s Christian education director and a parent herself, will lead the discussion.
Gary United Methodist Church has vibrant music, kids, youth and adult ministries, plus opportunities for local, national and global missions. Worship is at 9 and 11:11 a.m. Sundays. Between services, there’s Sunday school for all ages, a coffee fellowship hour, plus the chapel is available for prayer and reflection.
